Kaspersky Lab

When I originally started producing these striped compositions, the aim was to reflect the increasing bombardment of imagery by the media and those parts we as consumers manage to maintain - it was about mass input. When approaching the collaboration with Kaspersky Lab though, I started to think about it the other way around. We all put so much of ourselves out into the world via social media and browsing habits, it becomes impossible for the average consumer to keep track of their own internet presence. My new image for Kaspersky is designed to mirror the output of personal and private information and encourage its protection. I chose a select few images that capture some of my own creative output and arranged them into a multi-faced totem - a multimedia expression of myself in a digital age. We can no longer hold faith that social media giants like Facebook will keep our personal information secure, so it’s up to us to make the first move into making sure our privacy is established.

As a member of the creative industry, and especially as a street artist, my social identity is crucial to my work, so of course it’s important to meet know that it’s secure. Many of my fellow street artists have chosen to remain anonymous for their entire careers, keeping personal and professional life completely separate - that’s no easy task. I think that really resonates with the issue of internet security and with the work that Kaspersky are doing. This was a great chance to collaborate with a brand with which I felt a genuine connection to myself and to my work. People need to feel in control of what they’re putting out about themselves into the world and thats what KTS offers - a way to stay in command of your social identity.
